Hello! I am Kleon Howe, owner of The Art of Travel.
Having sailed my 44-foot sailboat "RHIANNON" around the world for 11 ½ years, I realized that travel is one of the most wonderful things a person, a family, or a group of people can do. Why? Because we go outside ourselves and explore our dreams, other cultures, other belief systems, and other lives. We can see ancient civilizations and exotic animals, which before we experience them in their natural habitat and surroundings, have only existed on the pages of magazines or on television. We explore our world and when we come home we are calmer, happier, and more excited about life. We also see the world, its people, and its flora and fauna as real and we are more likely to take action to maintain it and support a viable Earth for everyone. There is a special bond between the traveler and the destinations to which we have traveled.

This includes travel to the destinations, meeting with representatives of the airlines, hotels, and tourism officials, and keeping up with governmental updates on destinations.
